NASCAR Winston Cup Series driver Todd Bodine and the No. 26 HAAS CARTER Motorsports team are back!  Starting this weekend in Dover, Bodine will pilot the No. 26 Discover® Card Ford for six races.  Bodine and his HAAS CARTER Motorsports team feel privileged to introduce the largest independent credit card network in the United States to NASCAR.

    “In the past, I have had the privilege of introducing new companies to the sport,” said Bodine. “It is an honor to welcome a great sponsor like Discover Card to this HAAS CARTER Motorsports team.  I know our No. 26 Discover Card Ford will show them what this sport can do to promote their business.  Discover Card has a lot of great programs being implemented and I can’t wait to show NASCAR fans … it pays to discover!”

    Last week the Discover Card Ford took to the track at Dover Downs to prepare for this weekend’s Winston Cup race.  The No. 26 turned in impressive lap times and according to Bodine, co-owner Travis Carter is fielding an all-star crew. “Travis has taken the best of the No. 26 and No. 66 teams and put them into one.  Donnie Wingo is a proven crew chief and Derrick Finley is an awesome engineer.  Plus, the No. 26 pit crew hasn’t missed a beat since the start of the season by recording stops of 15 seconds or less.”

    Carter went on to add, “Right now I think we have our best group of people together.   I think it is going to give us an edge since we will not have a learning curve between the driver and team.  The relationship has already been established.  We are happy with our testing effort last week in Dover and it’s great to be back in the competitive racing mode. We are now moving forward, enthusiastically.  We anticipate coming out of the box strong in Dover and having good results for the Discover Card organization.”

    The Discover Card team participates in Bud Pole qualifying for the Dover Downs International Speedway 400 on Friday at 1:35 p.m., ET.    Sunday’s green flag waves at 1 p.m., ET LIVE on FX and MRN radio.
