WEST ALLIS, Wisc.  (June 30, 2003) – Todd Bodine and the Monster racing team were able to grab their tenth top-10 finish of the 2003 NASCAR Busch Series season by finishing eighth on Sunday in the GNC Live Well 250 at The Milwaukee (Wisc.) Mile. The finish allowed Bodine and the Monster racing team to continue to contend for the 2003 NASCAR Busch Series championship, where Bodine remains in the third place position, 80 points out of the lead.

The Monster racing team's weekend got off to a rainy start on Saturday. The day's first practice and qualifying were cancelled due to uncooperative skies. Because there was no qualifying, starting positions were based on the current 2003 owner points, giving the No. 92 Monster Chevy the fifth spot - in the inside of row three. 

On Sunday under sunny skies and warm temperatures, NASCAR officials dropped the green flag for the beginning of the 250-lap event. After the first five laps, Bodine radioed to his crew that the car was extremely tight. Running in the ninth position on lap 20, the day's first caution flag was thrown. Not wanting to pit too early and lose valuable track position, crew chief Tony "Rambo" Liberati instructed Bodine to stay out on the track.

When the day's first green flag pits stops began to cycle on lap 84, the No. 92 was running in 14th. Bodine allowed the leaders to pit and enjoyed a brief lead, in turn racking up five bonus points for leading a lap. After the leaders had left pit road, Liberati instructed Bodine to enter the pits on lap 91. The Monster Chevy pit crew bolted on fresh tires, filled the fuel tank and made a wedge adjustment all within seconds. Bodine reentered the line-up in 17th.

The No. 92 fought its way to the 12th spot, where it continued to run for the next 64 laps. A caution on lap 155 gave the Monster Chevy another opportunity to enter the pits for some much needed adjustments. After a well-executed stop by the Monster racing team, Bodine was able to leave pit road with no valuable track position lost. Upon the restart on lap 161, the No. 92 was still in the 12th position. 

The next 72 laps of the GNC Live Well 250 remained caution-free, and Bodine held his spot in 14th. A caution on lap 232 gave the Monster Chevy one last opportunity to enter pit road for fresh Goodyears and a track bar adjustment. Upon the restart on lap 236, Bodine was in 13th. 

The last ten laps were to be a test for the veteran driver, and Bodine was up to the challenge.  With four laps to go, Bodine raced his way into the top-10 when the final caution of the day was flown with two laps remaining. The event ended under the yellow flag, with Bodine grabbing the eighth position. 

"I'm pleased with the finish," stated Bodine. "We only had an hour to practice the car on Saturday due to the weather. The guys made improvements to the Monster Chevy for the entire race and it continued to handle better and better. We got a solid top-10 and had a pretty good points day.
