Carol June Bodine, mother of Geoffrey, Brett and Todd Bodine was honored before the many fans at Chemung Speedrome on August 11^th. The Speedrome presented her with a gift and flowers at a ceremony prior to the match race between sons Brett and Todd. She and her husband, Eli, built and owned Chemung Speedrome during the childhood days of their sons. All three of the brothers cut their racing teeth here. The track was closed after the death of Eli but was recently purchased and renovated by Bob & Corrine Stapleton and is nowagain.

Brett and Todd drove B-Modified cars owned by local favorites in a match race prior to the evening’s feature event. For fifteen laps, it was mostly side-by-side racing, until coming out of the fourth turn, Brett’s car slowed a little and Todd passed him to take the checkered flag.

During a post-race interview, Brett said he was not upset at losing because by Todd winning, it meant that all three of the Bodine brothers have now won at their home track, Chemung Speedrome.
