Q. 2000 Season Recap?
A. Bodine spent the 2000 season as a
driver in the NASCAR Busch Series behind the wheel of the No. 66 Chevrolet owned by
Cicci-Welliver Racing. Bodine was a championship contender throughout the first half of
the 2000 season until a string of bad luck struck through the month of July. Bodines
July finishes included 31st (Milwaukee), 40th (Nazareth), 21st
(Pikes Peak). The string of three bad finishes took Bodine out of championship contention.
Despite the string of bad luck, Bodine went to Michigan and did battle with Winston Cup
regulars Michael Waltrip and Jeff and Ward Burton and emerged the victor. The 2000 season
also included a pole award during the September Richmond event. Bodine finished the Busch
Series season BLANK in the final point standings with one win, one pole, 14 top fives and
